Gabrielle Varani teaches Spanish at Broomfield Academy. She is a Colorado native and graduated from Colorado State University with a major in psychology. She then joined the United States Peace Corps and lived in Spanish-speaking Honduras for two years. While in Honduras, she worked as a health volunteer and loved teaching basic nutrition, health education and English classes to adults and children.
She later worked at a safe house in Boulder and at an insurance agency in San Diego. She traveled extensively in Mexico, using her Spanish-language skills, before deciding to return to teaching. She plans to work towards a master's degree in education while teaching Spanish at Broomfield Academy. In her spare time she loves to sing, read, write and make beaded jewelry.
